StumbleUpon is a Firefox plugin that allows you to rate sites with a thumbs up or down, then blindly jump to a site that someone out there somewhere liked. The results are always surprising and often extremely cool.
Although I love stumbling to find new sites, I really use SU for its ability to quickly email a site to any of my friends, right from the toolbar.
I use iGoogle (formerly known as Google personalized home) as a way of seeing all of my important information in one place. I have little widgets for my email, to do list, docs, calendar, RSS reader, and my favorite blog headlines.
You can customize it so that all of the most important information TO YOU can be right at your fingertips, right when you open your browser.

WordPress.com
WordPress is an online blogging web app that has so many features, it can be (and IS) used to manage full, conventional websites. You can even have a static front page (like a normal site) and a blog for breaking news (whatever that means in your world).
If you are interested in starting your own website but the thought of all that coding just makes you ill, fear not. WordPress just might be the thing to come to the rescue.
Welcome to WordPress.com. This is your first post. Edit or delete it and start blogging!
